I bet she can, too, but I think she was knocked unconscious for some reason - either from the shock of hitting the water wrong, or from hitting her head on something on the way down. You saw all the debris around when Alex saved that pregnant woman.

It does not bode well for her, no. *wibbles* And while everyone keeps saying the show revolves around her, so there's no way they'd kill her off, that still doesn't mean you should count on that. Granted, they probably won't, but still. Look at last season, with the bomb. I really thought she was a goner then, those eps were that good.

I imagine the show next week will include a whiney nasal voice-over talking about how cold and wet the water is and somehow will relate that to being an immature doctor.
