Had two power outages last night. The first at 7ish or so kept me from getting online, but allowed Eric and I to get to know our neighbors a bit better. The second hit at 9:15, kicking me offline after the power came back on at 8. At that point we just gave up and packed ourselves and the dog up and spent the night at my parents house in their glorious whole house air-conditioning.

Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise. I don't know, every time I log in lately, I get really depressed and let down and upset. This morning was no exception. *blinks away tears, looks skyward* I give up, okay? You can just shut off my feelings at any time now because I'm really sick of feeling like everything I've done is a waste. Thank you.

Oh honey, I feel like everything you do is a gift! I do think the curse of being such a warm and passionate person is that the lows cut so deeply. But the upside is that I think you know real joy better than most people.

This is going to sound crazy, but I'll be honest with you. I read your journal quite frequently for you're on my friends list. I don't remember why. I don't remember who added who. But there are three journals I read, and yours is one. I don't say much (sorry), but I enjoy reading anything you have to say. I've laughed, I've cried and I've had an all-around good time. (And I really like your icons and avatars.)

It's not much, but don't feel down, you know? I don't like regurgitating old adages, but I would if I could think of one ... I'll get back to you on that. ;o)
